A champion for digital transformation and diversity, Ramyani Basu drives major impact both outside and within the firm.
As a partner in the Digital Transformation Practice and combining her years of industry experience, she has spent the last 16 years working in and shaping the digital space in the UK, EMEA, and the USA. While she serves across different industries, her primary focus remains with the consumer goods, retail, pharma, and financial services.
Both a technology enthusiast and a strategist, Ramyani uses the unique combination of technology, business acumen, and transformation to achieve true value for clients and is known for driving digital transformations with a focus on changing the mindset and culture of the organizations in embracing digital. In addition, she pioneers the relationships with the firm’s digital ecosystem partners in the United Kingdom, leveraging and curating market innovation to drive digital transformation conversations. In this context, she acts both as a connector and a broker to support clients in the process of right match making for digital.
“We live in a world of uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity,” she says. “Technology is one of the fastest changing realities of today’s business, so it’s an exciting field to be advising clients on how to drive value from digital. And in driving true digital value, it is more about the people than the technology which is most fascinating”.
She is the head of both the UK Women’s Network and the Diversity Network and has launched initiatives that have led to career development opportunities for A.T. Kearney women, stronger internal networking, and events such as the International Women’s Day forum.
Ramyani is an industrial engineer who earned an MBA with distinction from IMD Switzerland. Before joining A.T. Kearney, she worked for Infosys, which has given her a magnitude of technology experience across multiple sectors. Beyond work, Ramyani is a doting mother to a little girl. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, cooking, traveling, singing, and enjoying life to its fullest.
“While we are passionate about consulting, client impact, and making a difference, we are human beings first,” she says. “We belong to a society and to a family. There is a bigger picture in which our job as a consultant needs to fit in.”
