Jeanette Cowley, CEO of Go For Growth

Jeanette Cowley is the CEO of Go For Growth. Before founding Go For Growth, Jeanette was the Group HR Director for a FTSE 100 company responsible for around 90,000 staff worldwide. Her previous roles include Managing Director at Marsh, Head of HR UK and EMEA Operations at American Express. She has also held significant roles with Grand Metropolitan (now Diageo), Thorn EMI and in local government.

Voicing possibilities is at the core of Jeanette’s work and approach to life. In practical terms, Jeanette is a mediator, executive and team coach.  She began her career negotiating with herself as well as on behalf of individuals and organizations. Jeanette’s current research and client work are about understanding intrinsic and extrinsic motivation; dispute resolution; and how to focus energy on what matters for the long-term. 

Jeanette’s client work includes Smiths, Volcafé, BT, RBS, Harrods, The Metanoia Institute, ShellRWE, Guy’s and St Thomas’, Markit Group, Compass, Fortnum and Mason, KPMG, JP Morgan, The Heritage Lottery Fund, ED&F Man, BAE Systems, Consolidated PR, International Women of Excellence (covering IBM, Mercer, Volvo and other member companies), AVIS, and a range of SMEs and charities.

Jeanette’s current Research: How senior executives sustain momentum - builds on her work at Henley Business School. On a personal note, Jeanette paints and is learning to swim front crawl as part of a strategy to overcome her fear of water.  She is also an avid singer-songwriter.
