Ben Black is one of the UK’s better known childcare entrepreneurs. He is the founder and managing director of My Family Care; founded Good Care Guide and NannyShare and is a non-executive director at Tinies and AnyJunk.

He started his career as a corporate lawyer with the City firm Ashurst.  With his brother Oliver he was one of the leading figures behind the modernisation of the UK childcare market launching Tinies in 2000 which has become one the country’s largest childcare groups and the biggest supplier of nannies and nursery staff. 

My Family Care was founded in 2006 with support from IBM’s work/life balance fund and has established itself as the leading provider of Work+Family solutions for many of the UK’s best known employers including IBM, Shell, P&G, Freshfields, UBS, Barclays, Clifford Chance, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, McKinsey, Deloitte, Citi, KPMG, Rolls-Royce, PwC and Google.

The business has one simple aim, making Work+Family Work. My Family Care provides a number of very practical solutions, all designed to make work and having a family a practical and profitable reality for both the company and the employee.

My Family Care’s emergency child and elder care service has received numerous awards including the Daily Telegraph CPP Trailblazers award, BT Business, Microsoft - The People Business Moving awards, Smarta 100, HSBC Start Up Stars.

In his spare time Ben is a proud father of 3 children, plays enthusiastic if average tennis, runs an occasional marathon and works with the charity PilotLight.
